Analyze poems for figurative language, tone, imagery/symbolism; compare/contrast paired passages; write in response to reading and discussion; analyze/evaluate sample/anchor papers using rubric; apply writing skills and writing process to develop prewriting in response to prompt (VDOE prompt - education a right or privilege? - is listed in pacing guide); evaluate prewriting with emphasis on composing domain
