| Students identify geographic features and their influences on the development of ancient Rome, with emphasis on the Alps and Mediterranean Sea. Students describe similarities and differences between the belief systems of Greece and Rome, with an emphasis on mythology and the pantheon of gods/ goddesses. Students will describe the social and political structures of the Roman Republic, including citizenship and the Twelve Tables, and compare to Athenian and/or US democracy. |
