Students should be able to describe different types of pollution (e.g., sediment, toxins, fertilizer, salt water intrusion) that can pollute the Chesapeake Bay throughout its entire six-state watershed.
Students should be able to identify the effects of human activities on the oceans.
Students should be able to analyze reports, media articles, and other narrative materials related to the health of oceans or a local watershed system; propose a solution and analyze cost benefits to the implementation of the solution.
