Students should be able to read/interpret data from a thermometer/barometer/psychrometer (multiple-days); determine if there is a correlation between the data and observed weather phenomena
Analyze the conditions that lead to severe weather events such as tornadoes and hurricanes, and describe human and natural factors that have led to the rise in global temperature over the past century.
Analyze geoscience data and the results of global climate models to make an evidence-based forecast of the current rate of global and regional climate change and associated future effects on Earth systems.
Research and analyze the effects of the development of fossil fuels and other human activity on atmospheric composition; develop a suggestive set of steps or sample policies to monitor and mitigate potential issues and concerns
Research data on the effect of human activities and public policy on Earth’s ozone layer since chlorofluorocarbons (CFC) were banned.
