School Year:2024-2025

Students should be examining the Constitution in order to find evidence of the following fundamental principles: Consent of the governed, Limited government, Separation of Powers, Checks & balanced, Federalism, and Rule of Law. Then, students should be debating relative power of the national government as compared to that of the states using historical and modern examples. In their debate, students should be citing specific sections and/or clauses from the US Constitution (i.e. Article I Section 8 and the 10th Amendment).
