Students should be constructing a model of a basic marine food web, including floating organisms (plankton), swimming organisms, and organisms living on the ocean floor.
Students should be interpreting diagrams related to the ecological characteristics of the ocean, such as the types of organisms vs. the depth of the water.
Students should be researching and communicating where organisms live in the ocean and infer reasons they live within those areas.
