Students should be asking questions and making predictions based on observations.
Students should be classifying and arranging objects based on a single physical characteristic or property; organizing and representing various forms of data using tables, picture graphs, and object graphs.
Students should be communicating observations and data using simple graphs, pictures, drawings, numbers, speech and/or writing.
Students should be comparing physical properties of larger and smaller samples of the same material.
Students should be identifying characteristics and properties of objects by observations.
Students should be making simple conclusions based on data or observations.
Students should be recognizing that an object may be composed of different materials and these materials have different physical properties.
Students should be using physical models to demonstrate simple phenomena and natural processes.
